About the Department

Dr. Pankaj Kumar is a Professor (Biochemistry & Physiology) and Head, Bioinformatics at College of Biotechnology, SVPUAT, Meerut. He is the Principle Coordinator, Centre of Excellence in Ag- Biotechnology (CST, UP funded) and also Co-coordinator of the Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) (DBT funded). Prof. Pankaj has over twenty-two year’s research experience in abiotic stress management and nutritional enrichment in pulses through molecular biology and proteomics approaches. He has authored or co-authored over 100 papers published in refereed journals, as well as books and a number of chapters contributed to books. His current research interests are Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. He is reviewer of many International journals viz. Life, Plants, Genes, and Molecules etc.
