Veterinary Clinic Complex

Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex is imparting practical instructions to undergraduate students as per Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Degree Course Regulations of Veterinary Council of India and clinical and diagnostic services to the livestock owners of western Uttar Pradesh.

1. Mandates/ objective of the department: Department has following mandate and objectives:

    • To provide clinical and diagnostic services to farm and companion animals
    • Basic training to Under graduate and Post graduate students in handling clinical cases through diagnostic procedures, clinical pathology, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment
    • To undertake clinical research to ensure better livestock health and productivity
    • To participate in extension activities, farmer awareness and consultancy services

2. Infrastructure of the department:

The following state of the art infrastructure is available at Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex:

  • OPD- Farm Animal and Companion Animal
  • Operation Theatre- Farm Animal and Companion Animal
  • Diagnostic Imaging- X-Ray, Ultrasonography
  • Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory- Haemato-biochemical analysis, Routine examination of urine, Cytology, Skin scrapping examination
  • Artificial Insemination centre
  • Ambulatory Clinic

The clinic is well equipped with Diagnostic imaging, E.C.G, haemodialysis unit, critical care unit and endoscopy unit

Extension Activities:

Veterinary Clinical Complex offers state of the art clinical and diagnostic services to livestock and pet owners of western Uttar Pradesh. Veterinary clinical complex has facilities for treatment and health care of livestock and pets.

Lecture delivered:

The faculty of the department has delivered lectures to progressive dairy/piggery/poultry farmers and paravets under ICAR SC-ST sub plan and Multipurpose Artificial Insemination Trainers in Rural India (MAITRI) training respectively.

Other

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex also offers Tele-consultancy services to owners regarding management of clinical cases affecting farm and companion animals.


Other activities

The department celebrates World Veterinary Day, World Rabies Day and various Technical seminars to Undergraduates and Post graduate students.
