  • A project entitled, “Mobile Veterinary Clinical Services for Dairy Animals in Western Uttar Pradesh” sponsored by IFFCO and IFFCO TOKIO general Insurance Limited is running in veterinary medicine with the objective to provide expert clinical services at farmer’s door step in western Uttar Pradesh. For this, the veterinary ambulance is equipped with ultrasound scanning machine and primary diagnostic facilities (blood and faecal testing), which will enable precise diagnosis of infertility and better treatment for animals. During the period in 2022, a total of 43 animal health camps in various districts of western Uttar Pradesh viz., Meerut, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Gautambudh Nagar, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Bijnor districts of Uttar Pradesh benefiting 8026 animals of 2385 farmers were organized. Such efforts are enhancing the health of dairy animals in western Uttar Pradesh, which will aid farmers' financial situation and milk output in the long run. The creation of a mobile diagnostic laboratory at the institutional level will satisfy a long-standing demand of farmers and field personnel, including veterinarians, for better diagnostic support, which is essential for the prevention and control of infectious diseases, infertility, and other reproductive disorders. This ambulance services has been appreciated by the OSD of Hon’ble Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SVPUAT, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Government of India, Divisional Commissioner, Meerut division, Managing Director, IFFCO, New Delhi and Senior Executive Director, IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Limited, Gurugram.
